To Speak or To Die? {Revision}

She meets boy in a fake game of

Russian Roulette. They become friends.

Boy flirts with her in front of others,

but never speaks his mind about her.

It weighs on her mind like a loaded gun,

the choice of one path or the other.

To change everything or to not?

To risk it all for nothing.

This entity that hovers over her

when she’s getting ready to make

risky decisions. Whispering to her,

telling her, she will ruin everything.

But what if everything is already

in the process of being ruined?

To speak one’s mind or hold it in,

to risk it all or never begin.

She says it’s better to die.

She’d rather die than speak her mind.

When you speak about something,

it becomes real. To speak or to not?

When you tell someone something,

it becomes real. It becomes true.

Mixed signals feels a tightrope walk,

there’s always a chance of falling down.

But boy meets another girl. The two

become “friends” and flirt in front of her.

So now will he speak his mind?

Will he speak or die?

Will he take the leap or will he

die in the back of her mind.
