Is it Better to Speak or to Die? {Draft}
Well, I would say it’s better to die. I'd rather die than speak my mind. It’s a better
question: silence or rejection? Rejection isn’t even the thing I’m afraid of. I’ve never
been afraid of rejection. There’s nothing to fear. I’ve been rejected before, and my
feelings were hurt. Then I moved on, as one does. I guess I do have a fear, and that’s of
ruining everything. It’s this entity that hovers over me when I’m getting ready to make
risky decisions. I don’t want to ruin everything. But what if everything is already in the
process of being ruined before I even said anything? So, is it better to speak or to die?
When you speak about something, it becomes real. When you tell someone something,
it becomes real. That’s scary. To speak or to not. To risk everything or hold it all in.
Everything doesn’t need to be said. That’s the truth. Some things are just known. If I
speak before you, does that mean I don’t know my worth or that I think that
communicating with you is more important? Is it because I’m impatient or because I
want this to work? Is it because I want you to value me, how I value you? Do you?
Should you speak or die?
